Advocate® combines the power of the two active ingredients imidacloprid and moxidectin, both well established antiparasiticides with proven efficacy.
Advocate®can be used on dogs from 7 weeks of age and over 1kg in weight
How to use:
Hold the pipette in an upright position, and twist to pull off the cap. Reverse the cap and use it to twist and remove the seal from the pipette.
With the dog in a standing position, part the coat between the shoulder blades until the skin is visible. Wherever possible apply to undamaged skin. Place the tip of the pipette on the skin and squeeze the pipette firmly several times to empty its content directly to the skin.
WARNING: Avoid contact with skin, eyes or mouth. Wash hands thoroughly after use. After application do not stroke or groom animals until the application site is dry. Do not eat, drink or smoke during application. In case of accidental spillage onto skin, wash off immediately with soap and water.
Advocate® provides comprehensive intestinal nematode coverage and is highly effective against adult worms and larva. It tagets Roundworms, Hookworms and Whipworms with 96% or higher success rate. Advocate also reduces the risk of tapeworm infection through fleas by its strong flea killing efficacy. If a tapeworm infection has occurred, tapeworm segments may be visible in the animal’s faeces and an additional wormer against tapeworms can be added to advocate® for treatment.
Heartworm infections can be lethal for dogs and are very difficult to treat once an animal is infected. This makes prevention extremely important and advocate® has shown to provide 100% reliable heartworm prevention.
Lungworm infections are considered an emerging disease, which is more common in dogs that spend much time outdoors, such as in forests or fields. Infection causes respiratory problems and can even be fatal. The most prevalent lungworm in dogs is Angiostrongylus vasorum.
The lungworm Angiostrongylus vasorum causes canine angiostrongylosis, a potentially fatal disease if left untreated. As infection can reoccur even after successful treatment, continuous prevention is the best solution. Advocate® offers a convenient and effective way to treat and prevent angiostrongylosis.
The active ingredient against fleas and lice, imidacloprid, then distributes on the entire skin while the active against worms and mites, moxidectin, penetrates the skin and enters the blood stream.
